1. Purpose

This policy governs the open use of the Pup and Handler Pride Logo ("the Logo"), which is the intellectual property of Australian Pups and Handlers Incorporated (APAH). The intention is to enable widespread community use of the Logo for non-commercial, inclusive, and respectful purposes, while preserving the integrity and values of APAH.

3. Permitted Use

Users are permitted to use the Logo under the following conditions:

  • Non-Commercial Use Only: The Logo may be used freely for personal, community, educational, awareness, or advocacy purposes that are non-commercial in nature.
  • Reproduction and Distribution: Users may reproduce and distribute the Logo as part of events, media, publications, or digital content that align with APAH’s values.
  • Attribution: Where practicable, Users should acknowledge that the Logo is used with permission from APAH.

4. Restrictions on Use

The following restrictions apply to all use of the Logo:

  • No Commercial Use: The Logo may not be used in connection with any commercial product, service, brand, or for financial gain without prior written approval from APAH.
  • No Alteration: The Logo must not be altered, modified, or adapted in any way without express written permission from APAH.
  • Prohibited Uses: The Logo may not be used in any context that:
  • Promotes or is associated with hate speech, discrimination, violence, or illegal activity;
  • Brings APAH, its members, or the broader pup and handler community into disrepute;
  • Misrepresents endorsement or affiliation with APAH when no such relationship exists.

5. Revocation of Permission

APAH reserves the right to withdraw permission to use the Logo at any time if:

  • The use breaches any terms outlined in this policy;
  • The use conflicts with APAH's values, mission, or public image;
  • The Logo is used in a way deemed harmful, misleading, or inappropriate by APAH.

Revocation will be communicated in writing, and the User must immediately cease all use and distribution of the Logo upon receipt of such notice.

6. Enforcement

Unauthorised use of the Logo, or use in violation of this policy, may result in appropriate action including but not limited to:

  • Formal requests to cease and desist;
  • Public clarification of disassociation;
  • Legal action in cases of serious misuse or infringement.
